Ode to a Sunday Afternoon

Lazy snowflakes
Meandering through the sky
Each one unique
Falling ever so lightly on my eyelashes
Dusting the tree branches
Coating the bare ground
Turning the evergreen white

What?! More snow? This is Seattle people! So far it isn't sticking, much anyway. Apparently the days of me watching the snow out the window and hoping for accumulation are in the past. Although, now that I think about it, tomorrow would be a great day for a snow day! C'mon snow! Start sticking!

The snow isn't the only thing lazy today. I have been enjoying quite a lazy Sunday, reading and catch up on Lost. The laziness is much needed after several hectic weeks at work. I am not recovering from the weeks of little sleep as fast as I have in the past. Which is probably why I am suddenly excited about the prospect of a snow day!

Breathe

I'm sitting here, ready to write about something, nothing, everything but no words are coming.  I could be writing about thoughts for the new year, how much I'm addicted to playing word mole, updating my 31 things list, or even contemplating life in general.  Instead I'm sitting here tapping the keyboard willing words to come out.  I think my brain, and the rest of me for that matter, is still decompressing from the last few weeks of year-end fun.  To be perfectly honest, it was probably the worst year-end I can remember.  What made it so bad?  I haven't been able to put my finger on it.  And now I just need to catch up on my sleep!

Using my new favorite toy, here are my feet in the Czech Republic & in Slovakia (Czechoslovakia!):
