Oooh, Pretty

The Tinker Bell Half Medal was revealed today.  Oh wow!  If I wasn't already pretty much 100% committed to running (or walking) the race the medal would have pushed me over.  I do love shiny medals!  Race capacity is at 55% so I had better get on with registering!

I'm even thinking about potentially dressing up for the race.  And what better costume for a Tinker Bell run than a fairy costume?  But rather than Tink herself, I'm thinking one of her new friends.  (I'm not as up on my Tink trivia.)  The blue-ish fairy (not to be confused with the Blue Fairy from Pinocchio) or the purple-ish fairy.   I think the blue-ish fairy is Silvermist but I wouldn't bet on it and I have no idea what the purple-ish fairy's name is.  I'm not sold on the wings yet.  I mean wings for 13.1 miles?  Maybe just for a picture at the end! :)

I tried something new this morning.  I got up early and went for a walk.  Only two miles, but still it was something.  We'll see if this is a start of a new trend for me or a one time thing.  I used to be much more of a morning person than I am now.  I saw lots of interesting critters this morning, including what I think was a mole.  He froze and I froze.  And then he skittered back into the bushes.  I saw him again on the way home except this time he just froze and didn't move.  I don't know what else he could have been, except a mole.  But aren't moles supposed to live underground?  Where I don't have to run into them?  I am not a critter person.  The bunnies I didn't mind at all.  They are cute and tiny.  But the mole?  Not a fan.

Nice job on the early morning walk! I can hardly EVER get out of bed early to exercise. I always have these great ideas to do it but then something the night before keeps me up past my bedtime.

Dressing up for Tinkerbell is a great idea! SO many people do it for these Disney races and it's cute! I agree that the wings might get slightly annoying though. Hmm... trying to think how you can fix that problem....

I love little critters!! I always turn into Snow White and start talking to them and asking if they'd like to sit on my finger or sing with me. Sadly they never do.

Lucky you and the Tink race! My baby girl (i.e. my 11 year old cat) is named Tinker Bell, so I wanted to do this race for her and give her my medal. Aww, if only!
